Client-Side website tracking software is designed for a company or organization that has an existing web site, but wants a more efficient way to see who is visiting their site, where the visitors are coming from and what pages they are viewing once there. 

This eliminates over counting and under counting issues that other website tracking software does not take into consideration.

For example, if you receive hundreds or thousands of visitors to your site from a particular search engine or internet directory on the internet but the visitors that are routed to your website promptly leave within 5 – 8 seconds, these visitors were obviously directed to the wrong place and are of no use to you, but most internet tracking software will simply show you the numbers, not the quality of the visitors.

Another example is that every search on the internet has what is called an IP address; it is like a social security number.  Even the search engines spiders or robots have them.  Are you aware that many website tracking software programs can’t keep up with identifying and filtering the search engine spiders IP addresses and therefore your tracking software might be counting computer visits as traffic?  Again this is a serious over counting issue.

Another example is that if you have “server side” tracking software, which is when your website hosting provider provides the tracking through their server, when another server that has multiple requests for viewing your website loads your website on their server, they do this because your site will load faster for the visitors, it will prevent your server side tracking system from identifying the fact that your site is being viewed!  This is a big under counting problem.
